Instructions for installing the NOR1 OXI interface via script

Purpose:

This document is intended to provide directions on the steps to install the NOR1 OXI interface using the installation script provided by NOR1 The document will provide instructions for stand-alone installations, multi-property installations where different properties are installed at different times and multi-property installations where all the properties are installed at the same time 

Prerequisites:

● Confirm you have received the Micros sanctioned property specific Nor1 OXI installation script 

● Confirm you have the Nor1 OXI license code OPX_NOR1 

● Confirm you have the OXI schema user login credentials 

● Confirm you have Windows Administrator login credentials to the Opera Application Server or where the Nor1 OXI services will be installed 

● Confirm web access with property if OXI machine is firewall controlled and traffic is open and ready for Nor1 OXI machine should be able to communicate with integration nor1solutions com domain 

● Confirm web access for Nor1 by pointing either of the below URL to Internet Explorer on the Opera Application Server or where the OXI services will be installed, and you should see a blank page 

● Nor1 supports two separate domains for the comm methods. The reason for this is to maintain backwards compatibility for servers that cannot support TLS 1.2 and up. The domains: 

https://integration.nor1solutions.com - Legacy domain that supports less secure TLS protocols 

https://oxi.integration.nor1.com - Strict domain that only supports TLS 1.2 and 1.3 protocols with secure ciphers 

https://oxi.integration.nor1.com/opera/get&propertyName=ABCDEF 

https://integration nor1solutions com/opera/get&propertyName=ABCDEF 

**replace ABCDEF with property code**

Stand Alone Property

● Ensure the prerequisites are met 

● Review general instructions within the Nor1 OXI Installation script 

● Contact if unsure on execution or declared values as the scripts are nor1-integrations_grp@oracle.com custom generated per property/environment by Nor1 

● Run the OXI Processor Shell located at C:\MICROS\opera\Tools\OXI\INTERFACE, ensure the 'Run the interface initialization scripts' checkbox is selected 

● Verify the OXI Interface for NOR1 services is installed and set to Automatic startup type (starting the services will be one of the last steps) 

● Log into OXI, insert and activate the OPX_NOR1 license code 

● Select YES when prompted to "Activate External System NOR1 now?" 

● Place the script into C:\temp directory on the Opera Application server or where OXI is or will be installed 

● Login to SQLPLUS as OXI user via Start > Run 

● Script is NOT to be run using Opera SQL in Opera Utilities 

● Run the script - example command: @C:\temp\scriptfilename sql 

● Confirm script is implemented successfully - "PL/SQL procedure successfully completed" message 

● Spot Check and verify NOR1 interface and XML versions are configured within OXI Edit Interface Setup by Script 

● Spot Check and verify OXI Comm Methods are configured by Script 

● Spot Check and verify OXI Parameters are configured by Script 

● Spot Check and verify Automatic Transmission Schedules are configured by Script 

● Spot Check and verify NOR1 External System is active 

● Spot Check and verify NOR1 External System Business Events are configured by Script 

● Spot Check and verify External System Publisher configured and NOR1 is subscribed to all external systems 

● Spot Check and verify Interface Alerts are configured by Script 

● Verify and or configure NLS_LANG setting 

● Start the NOR1 OXI Services and Processors 

Installing all properties in a multi-property environment at the same time: 

● Ensure the prerequisites are met 

● Review general instructions within the Nor1 OXI Installation script 

● Contact if unsure on execution or declared values as the scripts are custom generated per property/environment by Nor1 

● Run the OXI Processor Shell located at C:\MICROS\opera\Tools\OXI\INTERFACE, ensure the 'Run the interface initialization scripts' checkbox is selected 

● Verify the OXI Interface for NOR1 services is installed and set to Automatic startup type (starting the services will be one of the last steps) 

● Log into OXI, insert and activate the OPX_NOR1 license codes 

● Select YES when prompted to "Activate External System NOR1 now?" 

● Place the script into C:\temp directory on the Opera Application server or where OXI is or will be installed 

● Login to SQLPLUS as OXI user via Start > Run 

● Script is NOT to be run using Opera SQL in Opera Utilities

● Start the NOR1 OXI Services and Processors 

Installing all properties in a multi-property environment at different times: 

● Ensure the prerequisites are met 

● Review general instructions within the Nor1 OXI Installation script 

● Contact nor1-integrations_grp@oracle.com if unsure on execution or declared values as the scripts are custom generated per property/environment by Nor1 

● If this is the first property to be installed, follow the instructions above If another property within the multi-property environment has already had NOR1 installed, then uninstall the OXI Processor Shell for NOR1, located at C:\MICROS\opera\Tools\OXI\INTERFACE 

● Run the OXI Processor Shell located at C:\MICROS\opera\Tools\OXI\INTERFACE, ensure the 'Run the interface initialization scripts' checkbox is selected 

● Verify the OXI Interface for NOR1 services is installed and set to Automatic startup type (starting the services will be one of the last steps) 

● Log into OXI, insert and activate the OPX_NOR1 license code 

● Select YES when prompted to "Activate External System NOR1 now?"

● Start the NOR1 OXI Services and Processors  8 Installation Confirmation: Please send a zip file to nor1-integrations_grp@oracle.com with the following items: 

● Message Status screen capture of 'Message to External Systems' with message traffic 

● Filter search criteria only with Opera Property = Property and Interface ID = NOR1 

● Send the NOR1 OXI log; a copy of the log can be found at C:\Program Files\Micros-Fidelio\OXChange\OXA\Logs 

● Log Naming Convention: NOR1YYYYMMDD log xml 

● A screen shot of the configured ATS (Automatic Transmission Schedule) 

● A screenshot of the external systems and the NOR1 subscription to all external systems 

● A screenshot of the NOR1 OXI processors with the processors 'running' 

● A screenshot of any conversion codes entered into OXI (conversion codes will be determined on a property by property basis as needed) 

● Send a screenshot of the OXI XML version for RESERVATIONS 

● Send a screenshot of Interface Parameters for OXI_RESERVATIONS: Update Fixed Charge, Update Inhouse and Update Payment Types Per Window 

● Upon receipt of the above items NOR1 will confirm via email if all settings are correct
